Peach perfect with my sister!

Hey, loves! August month has just begun & I hope it brings all good things your way. Can’t believe 6 months have already passed by and there’s still so much I’m yet to accomplish!
Do you feel the same?
As we all know, Raksha Bandhan is just around the corner and I thought now would be the perfect time to do a blog post featuring my lovely little sis, in honour of the festival. For all my non Hindu readers, Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi is a festival among Hindus to celebrate the love and duty between brothers and sisters. On the day of the festival, the sister ties a rakhi (a sacred thread) on her brother’s wrist, which symbolises her love & in return the brother gifts her a token and a promise to protect her.
Although this festival is celebrated among brothers and sisters, I was inspired to do a spin on the same with my sister. My sister’s sense of style is simple, laidback, yet chic. She likes to downplay sophisticated pieces, but mostly is seen wearing crop tops & tees with denim. She is also taller to me, something which I had trouble coming to terms with for a while, being the older sister. I am so happy she agreed to do a blog shoot with me and words are not enough to describe the camaraderie between us two. Just like most siblings, we have gone through thick & thin, had each other’s backs at all time & always looked up to each another for advice. We’ve also had our share of own ups & downs, but that didn’t let the bond between us wane. It is hard for me to say what I would have done or been like had I not had a sister. Life without her is quite unimaginable.
We are both very different in every way. And it can be seen in the way we style our self. I wanted to do a simple & classy look with some pieces we both have in our wardrobe. Which is why for today’s post, you will see that we have two totally different outfits, yet are similar in terms of style. My sister chose to wear a tailored peach playsuit with shoulder cut-outs and paired her outfit with black strappy heels, black sling bag & oodles of confidence. I wore an off the shoulder peach bodysuit, black pencil skirt with a split & combined my outfit with nude clutch & nude heels.
Because we did the shoot during the monsoon, there is a bit of lighting difference in the images. I am very happy with how the images turned out and I hope you like them too!
Wishing you all a happy Raksha Bandhan!
