What I wore- Diwali Edition

Hey folks! Diwali has just passed by & I wanted to show you all what I wore to celebrate the festivities. Diwali is one of the biggest festivals here in India and I’m so happy I got to celebrate it with my family! We kept it pollution free by not bursting crackers, but channelling our enthusiasm into decorating & cleaning up our home. I hope you all have also had a super fun Diwali!
At my home, we did 2 Pujas, one in the morning & one after the sun sets. Hence, I have 2 outfits which I wore for the occasions. Since Diwali is an ethnic fest, I wore ethnic wear on the day of celebration. The morning look was laidback & consisted of a embroidered crop top worn with flared palazzo pants & a crochet shrug. I kept the look minimal because there was a lot of work to do in the morning before the puja & I wanted to wear clothes which were fluid & allow movement. A pair of palazzo pants is not only comfortable but also useful when you have to farm duties around the house. One can also add a full length shrug to make the look more interesting.
The second look was a bit more festive and ethnic as this is the time when one distributes sweets among neighbours, wishes everyone dear, a very happy Diwali & come together to burst crackers. So I chose to wear a top & a flared skirt with statement accessories. The top I wore was blue & it matched the border of my pink ankle length skirt. The skirt had beautiful patterns of flowers printed on it, which made it a perfect festive wear. Scroll down below to see how the looks came together!
