Hey there, troublemaker!

First of all, inspired by this song and this original 1963 version right here!

The first time I watched suicide squad I was so keen on attempting a Harley Quinn inspired look. She’s such a colourful, feisty, crazy and a deadly strong character. I was absolutely enamoured by Margot Robbie’s portrayal of Harley Quinn. And that is why, for today’s post, I’ve decided to take the theme from the Lesley Gore’s “You don’t own me” and translate it into a look. A look that best describes what my personal style would look like if I were to go edgy.
On most days, my personal style would normally be ladylike as I love wearing skirts and dresses. But I love experimenting with styles & keeping up with trends. I would like to think that my style is wearable and easy on the eyes.  Sometimes I like to keep it simple & sometimes I like to be edgy. To some, being edgy would be a black leather jacket worn with a black ripped skinny jeans & completing the look with high heeled boots. But the look can also be achieved with a simple tee & shorts. Scroll down to see how!
In today’s outfit, I have worn my off the shoulder top, the one I wore in my very first post. I got it from Koovs & this time I’ve paired it with ripped denim shorts from Boohoo, which was available on ASOS. Boohoo is a fast fashion online shopping brand from UK. And it caters to all body types, just like ASOS. Lucky me! To bring about the edge in the look, I paired it with a black choker with a tassel, a black backpack & some strappy leather wedges.

Looking forward to seeing your comments.

Peace out!

Yay! It’s my birthday!

It’s finally that time of the year! It's my birthday, I’m now 25, and I want to take a moment to be thankful to all the special people in my life that made all these years so blissful & joyous. I am so glad to have had such wonderful & supportive folks (my family & friends) in my life! Woah, time does fly by fast! To tell you the truth, turning 25 really isn’t that bad. You can choose to be wise & mature or young & reckless! You can choose from being subtle with monochrome or go all out with colour blocking & crazy prints! That brings me to today’s blog post- my birthday post!
As crop tops are always in trend throughout the ongoing seasons, I thought now would be the best time to do a post wearing one. Crop tops are essentially short length version of regular tops, and they're best worn with high-waisted bottom wear, be it skirts, shorts, culottes or pants. In today's post, I have worn a crop top with a flared skirt. I will admit, I have never tried crop tops before, so it was a bit daunting to try it on the first time. But I was pleased with the result.
I wanted the outfit to be elegant as well as have a pop of colour (I love bright colours so this was a given). I chose to wear a sleeveless white crop top with a pleated front detailing. I fell in love with this top the moment I saw it at the AND store & I absolutely had to buy it! I can think of a lot many ways in which I can style this top and I am really excited to try them out. As for the bottom, I decided to pair the crop top with a bright pink pleated skirt. To keep this look classy, I wore a statement necklace & accessorized it with a white textured clutch bag. A pair of white block heel sandals completed the look.
Today’s post is in 2 parts, one with the balloons & one with the outfit as a whole. As usual, it has been raining forever in Mumbai and it continued to do so on the day of our shoot. Even so, I am really happy with how the shoot turned out & I had an absolute blast doing it! Scroll down to see the final results!
