The Wanderer & the Seeker- Modern Boho

One of the most unconventional yet influential styles in the early twentieth century was the bohemian style of dressing. This trend, popularized by actress Sienna Miller and model Kate Moss, has made a comeback this season. And a welcome change indeed, as it is the style best suited for the free spirited.

Boho, which translates to “bohemian homeless”, is a style that essentially incorporates long and loose fitted garments, with fringed elements, long silver jewelry and can be completed by wearing a metallic/floral headgear. Its off-handed nature gives fashioners plenty of rope to mix and match as they please.

It's my first time wandering from the usual and exploring this off-the-cuff style. What I’ve worn today is a white peasant blouse and red printed shorts bordered with pom-poms. These colors are perfect as they’re bright and exude freshness. I’ve also accessorized this look with sandal with multi-colored pom-poms. It brings about playfulness and gives it a pop of color. I had a great time creating this look & what made it more memorable was sharing the day with my good friend Kartika, who also chimed in & bettered the look by beautifully braiding my hair. I absolutely love the understated eye makeup which she did with such patience & precision. And you may also get to see her in future posts, so stay tuned! Would you seek this trend?
